Each year, multiple Baltimore churches gather together on Pentecost Sunday to worship as one, celebrating the goodness of God, and asking His Spirit to breathe fresh fire on us and bring a renewed longing for the Lord to our city.

We’d love for you to join us.

The Location

Pier 6 Pavilion

We are excited to share that increased participation from churches throughout the city means we will be meeting at the Pier 6 pavilion in the Inner Harbor Downtown. This venue will give us ample space for all of the congregations coming together and allow us to continue to add more all the way up to Pentecost weekend.

Continue to join us in prayer over all that God is doing in our city and we look forward to worshipping together on May 24!

Parking and Getting Here

  • We recommend arriving by 10:30 AM to give yourself plenty of time to park and get settled before the service begins at 11:00 AM.

  •  Yes! A limited number of discounted parking vouchers will be available inside the venue at Pier V Garage, located just steps from Pier 6 Pavilion. The normal rate for the garage is $30 per vehicle, our vouchers bring that down to $20. Look for our signage when you arrive. Please note that vouchers are limited, so we encourage you to plan ahead.

  • It's simple! When you pull into the garage, take a standard entry ticket at the gate. Once inside the venue, pick up your voucher at the designated area. When you're ready to leave, insert your entry ticket first, followed by the validation voucher. The system will automatically apply the discounted rate so you can exit with the $20 payment.

  • Premium Parking Lot P2326 (711–721 Eastern Ave) sits directly adjacent to Pier 6 Pavilion, just past the cobblestone bridge. Note that rates at this lot may be higher on event days. You can reserve your spot in advance at Premium Parking P2326.

  • Free street parking with a 3-hour limit is available throughout the Little Italy neighborhood, just a short walk from the venue. Look along streets like S. High Street, Stiles Street, Fawn Street, and Eastern Avenue. Since our service wraps up by 1:00 PM, the 3-hour limit works perfectly!

  • We strongly encourage carpooling, rideshare (Uber/Lyft), or public transit to make your arrival smooth and stress-free. The Charm City Circulator's Orange Route also offers free stops near the Inner Harbor and Little Italy areas.

FAQs

What is Pentecost?

To us here in Baltimore (and other places around the world), Pentecost is the Celebration of the birth of the Church. On Pentecost, the Holy Spirit descended upon individual followers of Jesus as they gathered in Jerusalem. This gathering became the first Christian church. New believers in Jesus were baptized. They, along with the first followers of Jesus, shared life together, focusing on teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer. They shared their belongings so that no one was hungry or needy. As these first Christians lived out their new faith together, “the Lord added to their number those who were being saved” (Acts 2:47). Thus, we speak of Pentecost as the birthday of the church.

So, we celebrate what has happened, what is happening, and what WILL happen… now that the Church is empowered by the Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What type of service is this?

The gathering is a multi-church, multi-lingual, multi-ethnic, and multi-economic. In other words, an expression of the diversity of Baltimore and the Kingdom of God. Once you arrive, you will be greeted by sisters and brothers who are in a spirit of celebration. You will hear songs sung in multiple languages, Scriptures read in multiple languages, prayers prayed in multiple languages, and receive an inspirational teaching of the importance of our obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ and His Spirit. Praise the Lord!
