Pentecost Baltimore

When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. - Acts 2:1

Sunday, may 24, 2026

Pier 6 Pavillion

731 Eastern Ave, Baltimore, MD 21202

Each year, several Baltimore churches gather together on Pentecost Sunday to worship as one, celebrating the goodness of God, and asking His Spirit to breathe fresh fire on us and bring a renewed longing for the Lord to our city.

We’d love for you to join us.

The Location

Pier 6 Pavilion

731 Eastern Ave,
Baltimore, MD 21202

We are excited to share that increased participation from churches throughout the city means we will be meeting at the Pier 6 pavilion in the Inner Harbor Downtown. This venue will give us ample space for all of the congregations coming together and allow us to continue to add more all the way up to Pentecost weekend.

Continue to join us in prayer over all that God is doing in our city and we look forward to worshipping together on May 24!

FAQs

What is Pentecost?

To us here in Baltimore (and other places around the world), Pentecost is the Celebration of the birth of the Church. On Pentecost, the Holy Spirit descended upon individual followers of Jesus as they gathered in Jerusalem. This gathering became the first Christian church. New believers in Jesus were baptized. They, along with the first followers of Jesus, shared life together, focusing on teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer. They shared their belongings so that no one was hungry or needy. As these first Christians lived out their new faith together, “the Lord added to their number those who were being saved” (Acts 2:47). Thus, we speak of Pentecost as the birthday of the church.

So, we celebrate what has happened, what is happening, and what WILL happen… now that the Church is empowered by the Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What type of service is this?

The gathering is a multi-church, multi-lingual, multi-ethnic, and multi-economic. In other words, an expression of the diversity of Baltimore and the Kingdom of God. Once you arrive, you will be greeted by sisters and brothers who are in a spirit of celebration. You will hear songs sung in multiple languages, Scriptures read in multiple languages, prayers prayed in multiple languages, and receive an inspirational teaching of the importance of our obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ and His Spirit. Praise the Lord!

where do I park?

We are still working out contracts with parking around Pier Six. We will share details on where and how to find both paid and free parking nearby.

Because the pavilion is on the harbor and parking can get expensive, we highly recommend planning ahead so you can carpool or take advantage of public transit and ride-share options.

What is there for kids?

Your kids are just as much a part of the church as you and I are, so they are more than welcome to join us! We will have a dedicated space for kids to wiggle in the lawn area. And we will have kids-centric programming available for kids ages 4 to 4th grade in the loading dock area. If you would like your kid to participate, please pre-register them here.

will this be live-streamed?

Unfortunately, we will not be live-streaming.

We will film the service and make it available on YouTube as quickly as possible.

Can I bring a friend?

Yes! The more the merrier!

If your church or larger group is interested in participating, please let us know through the link below.
